The boat was built by students of the Moscow Polytechnic University in the spring semester of 2017, especially for participation in experimental classes of competitions "Solar regatta." During the development of the electro-glider we set the task to get the highest speeds possible, higher than achieved by competitors of other countries of Europe. Our team performed 3D modeling and calculation of hydraulic dynamic characteristics of the body using the software environment "Numeca Fine Marine." At the electric glider running tests, it was found that the chosen body form factor and the configuration of the electric motor with accumulators allow the vessel to glide and develop a good speed, while remaining sufficiently stable and maneuverable on the water surface. We believe in the future of this project and expect victories from our boat!
